So, in the state of Indiana in order to have Lap Band surgery you must have a Body Mass Index of 35 or greater and you must be the care of a doctor for six months prior to the surgery in order to try and lose weight on your own. I had visit number one last week, so I will done with the prerequisite visits by the end of December. I also have to get a psychological evaluation done and meet with a nutritionist. I have been scheduled for those two things on August 19th...I guess we'll find out then if I'm crazy or not. I don't believe myself to be crazy...just fat.
Anyway, after all the stuff is completed they will send it all to my insurance company to see if the surgery will be covered. I expect that I will get the surgery in February sometime.
